Tails of Woe has partnered with Cars for Charity to accept vehicle donations (automobiles, boats, motorcycles and RV’s) RUNNING OR NOT! Not only is this donation a tax deduction for you, but Tails of Woe receives 100% of the net profit from the sale of your donated vehicle at auction. This is the purrfect opportunity to get rid of that old car.

Cars for Charity will accept a donated vehicle and arrange for transport of the vehicle. Once the vehicle is auctioned, Tails of Woe will receive the net proceeds of the sale to help provide quality veterinary care for dogs and cats whose owners are in financial need.

About Us

Tails of Woe is a Non Profit 501 (C) (3) whose mission is to provide life-saving top quality veterinary care for dogs and cats whose owners are unable to pay for their necessary treatment. What sets us apart from other like minded organizations are our unique affiliations with veterinary specialists in various fields and a 24-hour state of the art hospital that will provide their services at a fraction of the cost through Tails of Woe. Our organization has no administrative fees or overhead. Virtually 100% of donations go directly for veterinary services. We estimate that less than 3% of funds will go to the cost of advertising and setting up various fundraisers. Board members as well as any personnel involved with Tails of Woe receive no compensation. We provide assistance to shelter and rescue groups as well. We hope to reduce the number of animals who end up in shelters in the first place. In this economy, it is not only the very poor who find themselves unable to pay for veterinary bills. Animals that have been in middle class families for years are tearfully relinquished or euthanized due to costly, yet easily treated medical conditions. For 24-hour intensive care most hospitals charge $500-$1500 per night. This cost doesn’t even include any lab, x-ray or surgery. Payment is demanded up front. There are not many people who can immediately fund an unexpected $5000. Tails of Woe, however, is able to obtain the identical care for their patients for $100 per night. Tails of Woe can provide access for orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries at an average savings of %50 or less.
