Wilson, an adorable 12-year-old chihuahua mix, was in a lot of pain.  His owners brought him to us the end of December 2010 with a perineal hernea.  A perineal hernia is a condition that can occur in both dogs and cats where there is an abnormal displacement of pelvic or abdominal organs in the area of the anus called the perineum.  This condition requires surgery by a surgical specialists, which is expensive.  Wilson’s owners were able to come up with half of the required funds and Tails of Woe, through generous donations, was able to cover the other half of the surgery.  Wilson was in recently for a recheck and looks like a new dog!  He may need one more surgery in a month or two, but for now, he feels good and his owners are grateful for generous donors who made Wilson’s surgery possible!
